Chicken Rice, Golf, Kangoo Jump, Bears

Simon, I did it. Here's the blog!
It's for all to contribute.

To kick off, here are the places I went to check out last wkend:

1. Chicken rice stall along Upper Thomson Road, Yew Lian Park, next to Joy Doggy pet shop.

DO's BUT...
The white chicken's silky smooth but if you don't mind a 40 yr old man with his thumb tucked inside the rice when serving you food, give it a go.

DON'T
Dumpling soup. Dumplings without prawns should never be served. The pork taste funny too. One word - BAD.

2. Joy Doggy Pet Shop (next door)
In case you ever need to get a cage for yourself. I did, but it's to cage someone else.

DO's
Service's good and the staff are friendly.
They recommend Petmate for cages. It costs about $130 for an (estimated) 50cm x 30cm cage.

3. Lilliputt (East Coast Park, in front of Big Splash, 2nd floor, above Sushi Tei)

DON'T
It's the only indoor themed mini-golf course for kids (well, big kids like Donny too. That's if he's willing to spend $18 fighting with the young ones.)

The space is pretty small and dingy. Kinda pathetic really. The courses are modelled after landmarks like Esplanade and Chinese Garden (Yawns...) A lot of kids were there but i wonder if it'll last.

4. Kangoo Jump (Playgroud @ Big Splash)

DO's DO's DO's
Let's go there! If you don't know what it is, visit www.springgear.com.sg

5. Haji Lane

DON'T
Haji Lane is damn quiet on Sundays so don't go there to shop for clothes unless u're damn bored (like the staff mending the shops) or u're looking for Sasha Bears in Arab Street. They've got huge ponys in there as well.

ok, that's all.

more from next wkend...
